About me

Hi — I’m Alon, a data scientist living in NYC.

My interests are in deep learning, reinforcement learning, and optimization. I’ve done commercial and academic work in computer vision, NBA analytics, and algorithmic biblical studies.

I use this blog as a space to share thoughts, techniques, and research that I encounter during the course of my work. I believe the popularization of auto-diff libraries was a turning point in the commericial viability of deep learning and hope this blog will be helpful to other practictioners.
