About me

Hi — I’m Alon, an artificial intelligence researcher living in NYC.

My interests are in deep learning, reinforcement learning, and optimization. I’ve done commercial and academic work in computer vision, NBA analytics, and algorithmic biblical studies. I currently work on computer vision for ultrasound at Butterfly Network.

I use this blog as a space to share thoughts, techniques, and research that I encounter during the course of my work. I believe the popularization of auto-diff libraries was a turning point in the commericial viability of deep learning and hope this blog will be helpful to other practictioners.
